Within the Compass Events module and the Learning Task module there is the option to use a Barcode Scanner to quickly update student information from paper consent or paper Learning Task submission forms (Event consent forms and Learning Task submission forms contain a unique barcode that relates to the event/task and the specific student).
Example Event consent form:
1/2 - These barcodes relates to the student's consent/payment and the additional details field for the student so that staff can add any additional details written on the consent form into the event.
3 - This barcode brings up the student code
You can have multiple barcode scanners in use at various locations of your school if required.
To order a Compass Barcode Scanner login to your CompassPay portal. Click to the 'Order Online' tab and locate the Barcode Scanner in the list.
Click the 'Order Now' button for the item and an invoice for the barcode scanner will be added to your account and the item subsequently dispatched.
The barcode scanner will arrive configured for use with Compass.
